Delilah “DD” Klausner

Hi! I’m Delilah Klausner, but most people call me DD. I’m 16 years old and from Indiana. I play softball for the SOX organization as a catcher, outfielder, and infielder.

Softball has been a huge part of my life for the past 10 years. Playing catcher gives me the opportunity to lead on the field and carry those leadership skills into everyday life. As a captain, I take ownership of my role and my team, and you’ll always hear me cheering for and encouraging others. Softball brings challenges, but with great teammates, encouraging coaches, supportive parents, and Christ by my side, those obstacles are easier to overcome.

I also take great pride in my academics. Through advanced and AP classes, I’ve learned that success takes hard work and discipline. I strive for excellence in every assignment, test, and quiz.

My involvement at school goes beyond the classroom. I was elected by my peers to student government, where I work with students across grade levels to plan events and represent our school. I’m also involved in HOSA, MVP, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), and Class Executive Council (CEC).

In the future, I hope to become a pediatrician or pursue another career in pediatrics so I can continue working with children.

Outside of school and softball, I love getting to know people, babysitting, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy watching the NFL and cheering on the White Sox.

I’m incredibly grateful and excited to begin this chapter with ! I can’t wait to get started, meet like-minded athletes, and grow together.
