Samantha Perez

Faith. Growth. Perseverance.

I’m Samantha Perez, a sophomore volleyball player who loves the game, loves a challenge, and is always looking for ways to get better. I’m motivated by setting goals and working hard to prove to myself that I can reach them. Volleyball has taught me that growth doesn’t happen overnight—it comes from showing up, putting in the work, learning from mistakes, and refusing to give up.

I played all-around in club volleyball last year and have been voted team captain two years in a row. Being a leader is something I take seriously. I want to be the teammate who encourages others, brings energy to the court, and helps everyone feel like they belong. My goal is to continue developing my skills and knowledge of the game and play volleyball at the college level.

My faith is the center of my life. I want people to know me not only for the athlete I am, but for the person I am becoming through my relationship with Christ. I love serving in my church’s kids ministry and helping kids feel they belong and remind them God loves them. I believe what happens off the court is just as important as what happens on it.

Outside of volleyball, I love spending time with my family and friends and being outside. I’m also excited about my future and am interested in either becoming a teacher or studying law. No matter where life takes me, I want to keep growing, keep pushing through challenges, and use my gifts to make a difference.
